Village Inn

Absolutely fantastic hotel and property. Highly recommended. They have a few service related kinks to work out, understandable as they’ve recently opened. I booked a room on hotels.com and 1) it wasn’t ready until nearly 5 PM (2 hours after check in time) and 2) we didn’t get the room class we booked. It seems they need to get a few systems straightened out. All that said: this hotel is first class and we loved every minute of our stay. The grounds and pool are gorgeous. The lawn with Adirondack chairs is so nice. The on site restaurant is very good. The room itself was very nice and definitely not flip-grade. They put money and care into the renovation and it’s obvious by the quality. We can’t wait to come back soon.

Ok, I was in Lompoc over the Christmas break to spend time with some of my kids, Grandkids, and old friends. The trip itself wasn’t that great due to my grown kids CONSTANTLY having to work all day and, as we all know, Grandkids would rather play video games than go places with Grandpa. That said, I have to say that the Village Inn Hotel was a clean, comfortable breath of fresh air. Soft, clean beds and pillows that make anything life threw at you that day melt away. It’s being managed by Jake, along with his trusty sidekick Justin, who always seemed available to answer questions and help with any issues that arise. Along with them there is the desk crew, some of whom, like Da Monique, Paige, and Vanessa, always had a professional manner and smile on their faces. Steve and Jose from maintenance can always be seen hustling to keep the grounds neat, clean, and the rooms running smoothly. The bar crew were friendly, professional, energetic, from the Bar manager Markus, and the Bartenders Coleen and Cynthia who always kept the drinks you asked for coming quickly and well made. Last up is the Hotel’s Restaurant. Known as ‘Dave's Place’ it’s a little pricey for MY CHEAP...errr....self, but on par for the quality, atmosphere and the service provided. What else can I say about that except, HEY, welcome to California. The staff in the restaurant, like Trish, Miguel, Faith and Cody do a fantastic job of providing quality service with a smile and a great meal. Note that these folks that I’ve named were only SOME of the AWESOME Staff that are there to make your stay comfortable. They also have charging stations for electric cars and a Tesla supercharging station and a market and shops right across the street as well as hookups for RVs. The ONLY detractor was that there are NO MICROWAVES in the rooms. Their answer is that you can always bring the food to the front desk and the clerk can go warm it up for you. May I respectfully submit that when you want to heat up a snack at 3 a.m. NOBODY feels like having to get dressed and twaddle out in the cold and the weather to get it warmed up. Jake said that he would bring up the suggestion of installing microwaves with his management. So overall, other than no microwaves, GREAT hotel experience. I’ll definitely go back in the future.

We stayed here while visiting family. I was very pleased with our stay. The staff was very efficient and welcoming. They gave us a goody bag, (which my son was very excited about). The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and spacious. It was a little too windy for us to enjoy the pool area, but on a nice day it would be pretty awesome. My buddy Dave J, did an awesome job with the restaurant and bar too!

This property is 4 star quality/amenities at a 3 star price. Completely remodeled, the rooms and public spaces are smart, clean, and modern. The king-size bed is "Marriot" comfort & quality. Enjoyed a patio room with a spacious porch and comfortable lounge chairs for a price 20% below the VOQ at the Vandenburg Space Force Base, which is spartan by comparison. The restaurant specializes in Santa Maria Tri-Tip and BBQ and was also reasonably priced and excellent. They even offer 3 RV sites with partial hookups.

We really loved this place. We booked through Booking, and when we arrived it turned out there were no available rooms. The team at the reception understood our situation and helped us by resolving the issue — unfortunately, I don’t remember their names, but we truly appreciate their assistance. The rooms are spacious, clean, and cozy. We were lucky to get one with a balcony, which was awesome! We will definitely come back here more than once.

My wife and I chose The Village Inn in Vandenberg Village, CA, for a relaxing overnight stay to celebrate our 19th anniversary, and it turned out to be the perfect little hidden hideaway! The friendly staff made us feel right at home right from the start—they were accommodating and let us check in early without any hassle. The suite was a great size, spacious and comfortable, with that perfect blend of mid-century retro charm and modern touches that the hotel is known for. There's an attached restaurant (Dave's Place), which was super convenient for grabbing meals without having to go far—ideal for a low-key anniversary getaway. We're just 5 minutes from downtown Lompoc for any errands or extra exploration, and only about 15 minutes from Surf Beach (a fantastic spot to watch rocket launches from Vandenberg Space Force Base—such an exciting bonus if timing works out!). We loved the nice patio area right outside our room—great for unwinding together in the fresh air with those scenic Central Coast vibes. Overall, this boutique gem delivered a cozy, memorable escape. Highly recommend The Village Inn if you're looking for something special, quiet, and uniquely charming near Vandenberg!

This place is beautiful. I love the restaurant, everything I have tried is been great, the tri tip for breakfast was a little too dry, but that's the only little detail I can think of, the rest of the dishes I have tasted here are amazing. The staff is awesome; the bar is superb, great atmosphere and amazing cocktails. I love this place, would recommend 10/10
